SEIDNAZAR COLT SELLS FOR $50,000

A striking chestnut colt from the second crop of former outstanding sprinter, Seidnazar, sold for $50,000 late on Sunday afternoon in session 5 of the January Magic Millions Sale.

The youngster sttracted much attention during the inspection period and throughout the sale. He was bought by a client of leading Brisbane trainer, Liam Birchley. Birchley also trains a Seidnazar colt out of Picabelle, purchased for $34,000 at the Capricorn Classic Sale in April 2010.

The colt is the third foal from Rippa Royale, a winning Grand Lodge mare formerley trained by Pat Duff at Deagon. Rippa Royale has had two foals to race for two winners, including derippa, the 2010 Wellington Boot winner.

Banchory manager, Scott Colless remarked that "the good news is that we have just weaned a colt at home every bit as good as this one!"
